Out of the Blue: Another Great Audiobook Experience

Recently, I worked with Audible Studios on yet another audiobook, so lets talk about it!

About a month and half ago, Audible Studios reached out to me about voicing the character of Besima Dolić in the audiobook for Sisters Loved and Treasured: Stories of Unbreakable Bonds by New York Times Bestselling author (and ABC News 20/20 co-anchor) Deborah Roberts. They needed a Bosnian narrator since Besima and Behind Dolić’s story was a Bosnian one. I told this to the team at Audible, but I’ll repeat it here: I’m so grateful when they find Bosnian voices to tell Bosnian stories. I know there aren’t many Bosnian audiobook narrators out there (in fact, I may be the only one) so I will never grow tired of helping my people tell their stories.

This was my first time working with Audible Studios, and it was great! The producer, Ashley Marshall, was very kind and quick to respond throughout the whole process. She definitely made it easier to get clarification when I needed it. There was also another first for me, since this was the first time I recorded an audiobook from my Seattle-area home after moving out of New York City. This made me a bit nervous in the beginning since I was new to recording in this space. However, it ultimately ended up just fine!
